Authentication User Entry

Description

Specifies a user name and password which will be checked by the Web Server during user authentication. The user can then appear in an authentication group entry or as part of a require entry.

Parameters

Name
This is the name that the user must type in to receive access. It is case sensitive.
Password
This is the password that the user must type in to receive access. It is case sensitive.

Because the password is hashed using the RSA Data Security, Inc. MD5 Message-Digest Algorithm, you should use configuration commands to change this file, and not edit it directly.

Commands To Change This Value

File Syntax

Name: Hashed-Password

Multiple entries may exist in the user authenticaton user configuration file.
