Dynamic Indexing

Web Server/400 supports the ability to display a dynamic view of a directory including header and footer descriptions. There are two samples provided.

The first link points to a directory containing useful images that can be used in the creation of web pages. The graphics found within this directory are small and quick to load.

The second link included is a gallery showcasing the Dynamic Indexing feature of the Web Server/400 product which includes larger graphics.

Default, Simple and Enhanced views

Dynamic indexing feature of Web Server/400 supports multiple views of a directory. The default view is configured by the WebMaster to be either the simple or enhanced view. The user can override the default view useing either of the two key words Simple or Enhanced in conjunction with the '?' query character. An example of this would be the simple and enhanced views of the gallery directory shipped as a sample.
